Better Block

Build a Better Block transforms underutilized public spaces into vibrant, people-centered areas through a 120-day design process. They lead 10 projects annually and offer "Better Block in a Box," a mobile solution for flexible placemaking. By prioritizing people over cars, they strengthen social networks, reduce crime, and boost civic participation. Their work supports Environmental, Social, and Governance initiatives, enhancing community well-being through sustainable urban design.

Dallas Urbanists is an advocacy group for people who care about making our city a better place to live, work, and play for everybody. We are an instance of what Strong Towns calls a "Local Conversation", whose purpose is to connect nearby, like-minded advocates to put Strong Towns ideas into action where we live. Our mission is to foster informed and empathetic conversations about walkability, transportation, and housing in Dallas neighborhoods.

The Dallas Area Transit Alliance (DATA) advocates for better public transit in Greater Dallas, representing all 13 DART member cities. DATA was founded in 2024 to counter efforts to cut DART funding. DATA aims to protect transit, influence officials, and propose practical transit solutions.
